Katie writes and edits e-commerce roundups, content for syndication on MSN, and refreshes and lengthens outdated stories for BobVila.com. She also works on social media for the site. While her primary concerns are Pinterest and Facebook, as a special aside she enjoys creating Instagram Stories @BobVila. Katie was an Arts & Society reporter for Loyola’s newspaper for three years and then Copy Chief her senior year. As a reporter, she focused on entertainment and pop culture news. The newspaper switched to entirely online her final year. In her position as copy chief, she worked under a 24-hour turnaround and edited all articles for content and grammar.

Acts4Youth Public Relations
Katie worked with Acts4Youth, a non-profit that serves at-risk children living in Baltimore City, as part of her PR capstone class. Her team had three goals: (1) increase presence in the Baltimore community & announce its expansion to a third location, (2) increase participation with the Loyola University Maryland community, and (3) assist in engaging Acts4Youth supporters at its May 26, 2016 banquet. While studying abroad in Cork, Ireland, Katie kept a blog of her travels called Katie UnCORKed. Some of her highlights include exploring Cork, going to a Beyoncé concert in Paris, and fulfilling her dream of living out the Lizzie McGuire movie while in Rome.
